Eric Eve is a Partner at RLM Finsbury, where he is helping to lead and grow the firm’s government relations and public affairs capabilities. He is a highly respected public affairs expert with extensive experience in government relations, public policy, regulatory affairs, issues management, community relations and finance in New York and Washington, D.C., as well as internationally.
Previously, Eve was First Deputy Comptroller for the City of New York. Charged with ensuring the financial health of the City, he managed a team of 700 employees and annual operating budget of $74 million.
Prior to that, Eve held the title of SVP of Citigroup Global Community Relations. In that capacity, he advised Citigroup senior management on consumer and regulatory issues of importance to communities around the globe, while leveraging the corporation’s extensive resources to effect positive social change. Before joining Citigroup, Eve served as VP of Government Relations for Verizon Communications, where he led federal legislative efforts before the Clinton Administration and U.S. Senate. He also served as Special Assistant to President Clinton, advising the President, Vice President and First Lady on matters impacting the northeastern United States.
Eve has a B.A. from Hobart College and a M.A. from Baruch College.
