Michael Abrahams

Michael Abrahams has worked in communications, media and politics for more than 20 years.  Based out of RLM Finsbury’s New York office, Michael has extensive experience managing corporate communications programs, as well as high profile crisis situations, for clients across the U.S. and overseas.  He advises companies across a range of industries, including financial services, airlines, automotive, manufacturing, telecommunications, healthcare, retailing, natural resources and nonprofits.

Michael works regularly on complex financial transactions, including acquisitions, corporate restructurings and bankruptcies, U.S. and cross-border litigation, and other urgent reputation challenges, including product recalls, government investigations, executive transitions, major workforce changes, labor disputes and corporate campaigns.  His expertise also includes CEO positioning, strategic philanthropy, employee communications and legislative outreach.

Michael was previously with National Public Radio (NPR) in Washington and has also worked for several political campaigns.  He graduated from the University of Wisconsin and the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University.  Michael joined the firm in 2000.
